Its magic lies in the 4 sleeping spaces, the original wooden mezzanine, and the open-air little terrace overlooking the rooftops of the historic centre.

What you notice as soon as you walk in

The first thing that strikes you is the contrast. On one side, the original brickwork from the 1400s: rough, marked by time, decorated with antique plates depicting scenes from the Piedmontese countryside. On the other, the light resin flooring, the white beams of the coffered ceiling, the sleek kitchen with quartz countertop and handle-free cabinets. The kitchen and living room

The living room with TV is at the opposite end of the living space from the kitchen, with two sand-coloured sofas, parquet flooring, a white coffered ceiling and a magnificent hanging chandelier that lights up the whole room. And how could we not mention the large window looking directly over the most beautiful square of Savigliano, piazza Santarosa? This living room is a very welcoming space, made for chatting and sharing confidences.

The sleeping area: the double bedroom and the mezzanine

The main bedroom is on the ground floor, with parquet flooring, a double bed, an antique wooden table and two large, very comfortable French-size double beds. Maybe it is the warm wood, maybe the parquet, maybe the coffered ceiling, but as soon as you walk in, you immediately feel a deep sense of relaxation.

The second double bedroom is on the mezzanine: the bed is truly distinctive, featuring a woven-fiber headboard, and is tucked beneath the exposed 15th-century beams, directly under the slope of the roof. The mezzanine is the most evocative and romantic part of the house: it feels like a small room suspended within a much larger space.

The pocket terrace is one of the reasons why Santarosa Suites is a different kind of home from the others in the centre. It is accessible from the dining area, paved in terracotta, protected by the walls of the surrounding houses and furnished with chairs and a small table. It has an ancient brick arch that works like a scenic backdrop and a view over rooftops, chimneys and sky. It is the right place for morning coffee, an outdoor work call, or a glass of wine in the evening after dinner.
